Vitalii Tarasiuk, Consul-General of Ukraine

Vitalii Tarasiuk was appointed as Consul General of Ukraine in Houston in December 2021 with
a consular district that covers the territories of seven US States.

Prior to this appointment he was Deputy Director General of the Americas Department at the
Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, responsible for bilateral cooperation with the US and
Canada. From December 2014 to December 201, he served in Ukraine’s embassy in Washington
as Minister-Counselor and head of the Economic and Trade Office, responsible for organizing all
economic activities of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the USA. His earlier service in this
embassy was as First secretary of its economic section. In between these two tours he was
diplomatic adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.

From October 2004 to August 2008, he held the position of the First secretary at the Embassy of
Ukraine in the United Kingdom, responsible for the development of bilateral political dialogue
between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, inter-parliamentary co-operation, relations with
nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions.

Vitalii Tarasiuk is a graduate of Kyiv National Economic University, obtaining a masters degree
in international economics. He is married with two children.
